Admission Review Instructions

Finalize COMPASS Provisional Admission

Freshmen who have been provisionally admitted to 91ɬÂþ and the COMPASS program must finalize admission by completing this form. Explain each answer fully with as much detail as possible.

Academic Standards and Admissions Committee

If your high school/transfer preparation or prior 91ɬÂþ academic performance does not meet admission requirements, you may request that your application be reviewed by the Academic Standards and Admissions Committee.

To request a review, you must submit a letter with the following information via email to joniedgel@suu.edu. The letter must be submitted at least three weeks before the first day of the semester.

  • what caused your academic preparation to be insufficient
  • if there has been a break since your last school attendance, what you have been doing during your time away from school
  • why you want to attend 91ɬÂþ
  • what support network you have established that will ensure your success
  • your academic and career goals
  • your study and academic plans for success

Your letter is part of the evaluation process and is your representative for the Committee. It is essential that your letter be formatted correctly with sentences, paragraphs, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. Remember that you are convincing the Committee that you are prepared to take university-level courses.

Please include all current contact information - mailing address, phone number, and email address. Also, include your 91ɬÂþ T# if known or your date of birth.

If you have questions or need assistance, you may email Joni Edgel at joniedgel@suu.edu.
