Concert Choir
The Concert Choir, comprised of 50-60 singers, is an excellent choral group that has performed a wide variety of literature and genres as part of its musical heritage. The group is home to music majors and to students from a variety of other disciplines from across campus, all of whom share a common goal of making great music and performing at their very best. The group is equally at home whether they are performing classic choral works, spirituals, or major choral/orchestral works and their performances have included great compositions like Faure's Requiem, Bach's Magnificat, and Vivaldi's Gloria.
Auditions for Concert Choir are held in the first few days of the semester and are designed to get the best sounds from you through a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. While advanced preparation of a solo work is encouraged, it is not a requirement of the audition. The group meets four days a week, from Monday - Thursday and performs 2-3 times per semester on campus and at venues in the surrounding community. This schedule fits easily into the non-music major's day and time commitment.
