Kaltura Media Repurposing Frequently Asked Questions

To prevent recordings/flavors from being deleted, play the entry for 30 seconds to update the timestamp. The easiest way to find a video would be to search in using the entry ID (0_xxxxxxxx). The entry ID will be included in the email you receive.

If you would like CTI to go through and play the videos, email us at canvas@suu.edu with the list of videos you received.

A flavor is a version of an entry with specific attributes, such as bitrate and dimensions. Flavors help gear media towards displaying on different devices like mobile devices, small screens, low bandwidth, etc. 91ɬÂþ mainly uses the source file over flavors. The source is the original recording file.

The process is not section-specific only video-specific. You only need to play the video in your live section or from My Media.
If you are copying from the Master Course, it won't impact it as students would be watching the video in your live course. This process doesn't consider the shell that the video is in just if the video has been played in the last 2 years (for flavors/edits) or last 5 years for source material.

The easiest way to find a video would be to search in My Media using the entry ID (0_xxxxxxxx). The entry ID will be included in the email you receive. In My Media, click the trashcan icon to delete the video. Please note, that they have to be set to "private" (not "published") in order to be deleted.
