Program Completion Date
The completion date on an I-20 (item #5) or DS-2019 (item #3) indicates when a student is scheduled to complete their current program. All visa holders should be aware of this date and know of the options that are available if more time is needed to complete their studies at 91ɬÂþ.
Once the program completion date has passed, visa holders will have a grace period during which they will need to do one of the following:
Change Education Levels at 91ɬÂþ (F)
Change visa status (F, J)
Transfer to a new program (F, J)
Exit the United States (F, J)
F-visa holders will have 60 days after their program to remain in the United States.
J-visa holders will have 30 days after their program to remain in the United States.
If a student needs more time to finish their studies, they will need to request a Program Extension.
