School Tours
Engage, explore, and connect with artworks on educator-guided or self-guided tours.
School visits may be arranged Monday through Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. All K-12 visits are free of charge.
Trained student museum educators lead our tours. Tours are interactive and filled with activities and discussions to help students connect with works of art while in the galleries.
- SUMA tours are inquiry-based learning and arts integration-focused
- Tours are 2 hours in duration with one hour at SUMA and an additional hour with a campus partner. You are welcome to explore the galleries of the Stillman Sculpture Court in small groups with chaperones following the tour to further connect with the exhibitions.

- Please plan to arrive 5 minutes early, and factor in additional time if your group will need bathroom breaks or parking prior to the tour.
- Visits must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance.
- School groups cannot be greater than 50 people. One chaperone is required for every 10 students.
- Unfortunately, we do not have the space and capacity to accommodate student lunches at the museum.
- Bus drop off and pick location is the yellow designated area on 300 West between the Randall Jones Theatre and Southern Utah Museum of Art. Buses can park at Lot 11 just west of the Eccles Coliseum.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change and we want to accommodate your group's needs as best we can. However, in order to ensure that our resources are used efficiently and that as many groups as possible can enjoy our tours, please not our cancellation policy:
- Your guided tour is only guaranteed up to 15 minutes past your scheduled tour time. In the event you are more than 15 minutes late, you will be provided with self-guided tour materials.
- Please let us know of any cancellations at least 5 days prior to your scheduled visit.
- In the event of a last-minute cancellation (other than weather-related) or multiple repeat cancellations, we reserve the right to refuse any future bookings for your school or group.
